Sam and I went to see “A Christmas Carol” on Broadway (two thumbs up!). But first, a little dinner at Saju Bistro.

My great new look: readers over glasses. Should have got progressives.

A burger for her:

Bouillabaisse for me.

Such a cute place. You’d never expect to get such good food, and at such a reasonable price, in Midtown. It really is one of my go-to’s.

For dessert, her favorite, creme brulee.

And, a walk through Times Square to get to the theater.

Before the show:

As the show was starting, the actors were wandering among the audience, handing out clementines and Tate’s chocolate chip cookies — a kind Christmas gesture.
Andrea Martin, the actor, came over to Sam and asked how old she was. “Eight,” Sam answered. “Eight,” said Andrea. “Hm. I was wondering if the show would be appropriate for my six-year-old grand-daughter.” “Well,” Sam said, “See me after the show and I’ll let you know!”
