I hadn’t been shopping in Nanuet for quite a while, and boy I was out of the loop. A new craft beer store opened, and so did a health food store with organic groceries. Growler & Gill and A Matter of Health.
A look inside both, after the jump.
Growler & Gill has both bottles and growlers. It’s both a takeout shop and a tasting bar and restaurant. They have about 16 tapes, and rotate the beers. We were bummed to have just missed Kelso from Brooklyn.
You can come in and order a pint (or a gill, which is a small tasting glass) and some food that pairs well with beer, like pierogies and pizza.
There are also shelves with bottles, as you can see in the background of this shot. Tables in the dining room area:

There’s a big produce section up front and dry goods along the sides, including all the usual Seventh Generation and Annie’s brand suspects. In the back is a prepared food section.
Both are impressive additions to the Rockland food shopping scene.
