For our final meal of the trip, we got some takeout from La Verdad — Ken Oringer’s Mexican restaurant near Fenway. Everything was mighty tasty.
After Fenway, we went for a little bowling with the boys at Lucky Strike. As usual, I lost. But we all had fun!
Jessica organized for us a tour of Fenway Park. It was cold, and there was construction, but we all had a good time and learned a lot. We also tried to squeeze in a little time for family portraits!

On Saturday night, the adults got some of their own fun time. First, we headed to supper at La Condesa, a new-ish modern Mexican restaurant downtown. Wow. Was that food amazing.
Jessica and Kelly hosted the whole family for dinner on Friday night, including Sarah and Mae and Jane, and Kelly’s brother and sister-in-law Brady and Karen and their two girls. You might say it was a family reunion of sorts.
Mojitos, a grill, a fire and family. What more could you ask for?
Next stop on the Austin visit — Jessica and Kelly’s house. We settled in and caught up briefly, and then headed out to Fischer’s baseball game.
