We stumbled upon a Tumblr recently that is just up our alley: Savuer Drinks. While browsing, we found the Baltimore Bang cocktail from Saveur magazine. A drink from Hunna’s hometown! Though the drink is usually made with apricot brandy, Saveur decided to go with cognac instead. Both bourbon and cognac? How could you go wrong? You can’t. Try it.
1½ ounces bourbon
¾ ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
½ ounce fruity cognac, like Rèmy Martin
¼ ounce simple syrup
Twist of orange peel, for garnish
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine all ingredients except orange peel. Shake thoroughly and strain into an ice-filled glass. Garnish with orange twist.
