What a sad, sad year. After last year’s nearly 20 quarts of sour cherries, we were lucky to get one small quart of cherries this year. (See Greg describing last year’s harverst in this post here.)
Here is the lame, lame harvest:
We think it was a cold snap that hit early in the season, late April. We had lots of blossoms, but after that, there were scads of them on the ground.
We decided to pickle the harvest, and use it to serve alongside charcuterie and cheese. Recipe coming soon.
