At Irene’s Ugly Flowers party for Carol, we had an Ugly Flowers Cocktail. Natch!
It is not, truly, an Ugly Flowers Cocktail, though. It’s actually something called a French Blonde that Irene found in Saveur. But we will rename it for our purposes! The recipe, after the jump.
Ugly Flowers Cocktails
aka French Blonde, from Saveur.com
1/2 ounce elderflower liqueur, like St. Germain
1 ounce dry gin
2 ounces White Lillet
2 ounces fresh grapefruit juice
A few dashes lemon bitters
Vigorously shake together all ingredients in an ice-filled cocktail shaker for at least 30 seconds. Strain into a martini glass.
Makes 1 cocktail.
