The porch and the garden have served us well these past months. But it’s time to start putting the garden to bed for winter. We wrapped the rosemary in burlap, harvested some last crops and put the cushions away in their canvas bags for the season. I also unhooked the hoses from the spigots and let the water run dry.
Even so, the warm temperatures have allowed us to keep harvesting from the garden. Swiss chard:
And even the lavender plant put out another round of flowers. Note the burlap-wrapped rosemary in the background, too.
