Our ‘new’ neighbors have lived across the street for almost two years now, but we hadn’t had a chance to have supper together until now. Way overdue, and so much fun, too.
We took a cue from Peggy’s delishy appetizer from Friday night and made roasted tomato spread, serving it with olives, goat cheese and a baguette from Bien Cuit:

For supper, we made SCF’s famous smoked chicken.
Plus, my favey braised green beans:
The dish of summer for decades now, tomato-watermleon salad with feta:

And corn.
The kids had much of the same.Then we put the kids to bed and enjoyed a nightcap on the porch. Good times. Good neighbors. Good summer.
