It was a quiet New Year’s Eve at home this year, with Lexi. We watched a movie — was it Dunkirk? — and when it was over it was about 10 minutes til midnight. So we watched the ball drop. Why not?
We skipped our customary trip to see the tree, since we had done so just the week before. And later in the afternoon, we headed to what has become a favorite tradition: Suzie and Joe’s New Year’s party, with their famous gumbo, black eyed peas, grits, collards, biscuits and ham.
The bloodys are a must, too.
