NorthJersey and lohud teamed up to do a live broadcast of the demolition of the eastern half of the Tappan Zee Bridge superstructure. I wouldn’t have missed it for the world!
It was mighty, mighty, cold, but luckily, we were given the bridal suite at The View to set up our little camp.
When the explosion happened, we saw it first. Then it was about a 5 or 6 second delay until the sound waves hit us. It was a BOOM! And the windows in the building rattled and shook. It was very cool to witness in person.
And people, apparently, heard the explosion as far away as Pleasantville.
