An Afternoon in Narrowsburg

After a delicious lunch at The Heron, we retrieved Lewis from the car and did a little walking and window shopping in Narrowsburg.

It’s a teeny little town right on the Delaware River.

There are a number of sophisticated shops and restaurants.

And, it’s super-cute. Like this little girl!

Have stroller will travel.

One Grand is a small bookshop with a highly curated selection.

The owner, Aaron Hicklin, asks notable writers, thinkers, actors and other creative people at the top of their crafts to choose their 10 desert-island books, and he displays them on his shelves.

We bought the first Harry Potter and and illustrated version of The Elements of Style. Visit his web site, it’s a gem: onegrandbooks.com.

After poking around downtown, we walked down to the park by the river, where they were having a lumberjacking festival. (!)

Back up to the town after that for a stop at The Launderette for some takeout that we will heat up back at the house later. What a view from the tables on the patio!

Cute little restaurant. Wood-fired oven — with a varied menu of pizza, proteins and some nice vegetarian options.

What a lovely afternoon in Narrowsburg!
