We headed back to Polpettina for a Restaurants We Love story for The Journal News, and confirmed, that, yes, the pizza is still delicious. So is the chicken: crispy skin, juicy meat and terrific roasted vegetables alongside.
And Sam is very interested in Greg’s bite of arugula.
We got the Brooklyn pie with San Marzano tomatoes, basil and pecornio:
Nice crispy crust, good sauce and tasty fresh basil.
And that bite of arugula? Part of the beet-burrata-arugula salad, with candied walnuts:
And we tried a truffled carbonara pasta, which was very tasty but had cream and wasn’t as eggy and thick as I would prefer. Not sure there were eggs in there?
What a great spot. I can’t wait to go back.
