How to Make Cedar Plank Salmon in the Oven

We’ve shown you how to grill cedar plank salmon. Now it’s time to show you how to make cedar plank salmon in the oven!

Rules are pretty much the same. Soak the plank in a sheet pan of water for about 15 minutes to 1/2 hour. (Put some plates on the plank to hold it under the water.) Meanwhile, generously salt and pepper the salmon and let it sit out of the fridge to come to room temperature. Heat the oven to 375.

Set the plank on top of a rack set inside a sheet pan and put the sheet pan in the oven for about 15 minutes. Take the plank out, turn it over and carefully place the salmon on it. Place the sheet pan back in the oven.

Cook the salmon about 20 to 30 minutes, depending how thick it is, until you see some of the white fatty tissue barely oozing out of the fish. Let rest for at least 10 minutes before serving. It’s also delicious at room temperature.
